Dr. Suresh Chandra Banerjee of Bengal raised few questions to Dr. Jayakar, “If the Muslims do not come at all, how long are we to wait? How long are we to sit quiet?” These questions were in minds of all at that time including members of the House.

Well this was clear message from the members sitting in Assembly to Muslim League, that people of India were having ardent desire to free this nation, whether they come or not.

We have to proceed keeping all these things in view. We hope they will soon come and take their places and share in the deliberations for framing a constitution for their country which will give it freedom, that they will join us in our march for freedom.

Biswanth Das of Orissa, opposed the resolution and asked Jawaharlal Nehru to withdraw this resolution. The direct negation of the resolution was not accepted by Dr. Sinha.

At the end while concluding his speech he invoked Divine blessings to all members of the Constituent Assembly to complete proceedings with good sense, public spirit, genuine patriotism, wisdom, toleration, justice and fairness to all; with a vision to restore India to her pristine glory, and her place of honour and equality amongst the great nations of the world.
